Meanderen

I’m working on a series of paintings inspired by a piano composition I named “Meanderen” referring to the meandering of a river. For the paintings I’m using satellite images of Scottish rivers, searching for different intricate river patterns. And as the project goes on, I’m starting to relate these large-scale patterns to patterns I’m more used to looking at: the patterns of neurons branching and making connections with each other.
