Cover design for conference abstract book

Left: Cover design of conference abstract booklet for the 5th Conference on Imaging & Function of the Zebrafish Brain, 2018, Brighton.

Right: Design for accompanying postcards (the Brighton West Pier)

The cover design portrays a section of a zebrafish larvae. One eye is mostly visible with its perfectly spherical lens. Underneath the eye I have painted a section of the brain called the tectum where visual signals coming from the retina are processed. In this section I have highlighted several neuronal subtypes. All red cells are excitatory neurons and the green cells are inhibitory neurons, or interneurons.
